"Dream Receiver" by Indigenous Artist Eugenia Stanley
Eugenia Stanley is an incredibly skilled Indigenous weaver from the Navajo Nation.
As a self taught weaver Eugenia has been honing her skills for years, using methods passed on from generations before her and with some new tricks of her own. She has an eye for detail that shows undeniably in the intricate patterns and sharp lines of her weavings.
Dream Receiver was a piece she completed from personal inspiration and was later selected by Eugenia and Mark Ford of American Dakota to be transformed into a mill made rug. This new rug debuted at the 2023 Art of The Cowgirl event in Queen Creek, Arizona. Eugenia was present for the release of this breathtaking rug to the public and it was truly a moment we won't soon forget!
We at Cowboy Textiles Co. are brimming with pride to be one of the few stores offering Eugenia's rug. This is a piece with a rich history, one that uplifts a beautifully skilled weaver who is also a hard working wife and mother. When you purchase this rug you are investing in Eugenia and her craft. You are also adding a truly one of a kind piece to your home that will be enjoyed for years to come.
